This wasn't a lab demo. This was an open road, a real competitive race, with over 300 humanoid robots from Germany, France, Brazil, and beyond. Flash ran fully autonomous. No human control. Flash, built by Shenzhen Honor Smart Technology, averaged about 15.5 miles per hour using onboard perception, dynamic motion planning, and torque management. In simple terms, the robot read the road, adjusted balance, and made split-second choices without any human input. Honor robots also took second and third place. Just one year ago, the winning humanoid robot took 2 hours and 40 minutes to finish this exact course. The leap forward is staggering. China poured roughly 10.8 billion dollars into robotics and embodied artificial intelligence in 2025, and companies like AGIBOT, Unitree, and UBTech are already shipping thousands of humanoid robots into factories, hospitals, and homes.
