AI Meets Aquaculture: The Future of Non-Destructive Fish Yield Prediction Can computer vision improve seafood production efficiency, genetic selection, and sustainability simultaneously? Presented at the IEEE Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (CCECE 2026), by Gabryelle Guimaraes Castro de Sousa this work demonstrates how RGB-D imaging and AI-driven 3D reconstruction can estimate Nile Tilapia fillet yield without invasive measurements. Gabryelle Sousa is a visiting research student from São Paulo State University (UNESP), Brazil, supported through a MITACS-funded international research exchange program, and is currently conducting research at Dalhousie University within the Mooanalytica Research Group for a research internship stay under the supervision of Professor Suresh Neethirajan.
